Goats

Goats. We have them! They are so stinking cute and the best part is that since they have begun eating the paint off my house we are forced to repaint. Some of you would not be happy but I can't wait to not have to describe my residence as the puke yellow sorta white salmon no very faded squash color house. Hopefully, the paint eating faze will wane as they grow and they will start eating the dandelions that the goat guru website said they loved :)

So really, why does the seemingly normal suburban Lewellen family have goats? (well, I guess most of you know we are not normal! if you think we are normal you are looking from very far away) Having goats is one of Richard life goals. You are thinking "no" but I am serious. We have each written out a couple notebook pages, well at least one notebook page, of things we want to have done or accomplished before standing in front of Jesus. (Thank you Mike Bickle for the Power of the Focused Life series) Having goats and chickens is one of Richard's things. Did I worry that everyone would think us crazy? Of Course! But how could I stand in the way of his dream. My only stipulation was that we get them as babies so that by the time they are able to butt us over they won't want to. :) Plus, the babies are real cute.

Thankfully we have great neighbors and Karli Vennable (some of you may know and smile) says the constant "baaaing" makes her kinda happy giving her the sense that she is living the simple relaxed country life.

You should come by and see Jane and Lizzy (They are named after the famous Pride and Prejudice Characters) (SIDE NOTE: the book and A&E version are much better than the "new" one). If you come over at 8am, 12:00pm, 3:00pm, and or 7:45pm you can join in the fun of bottle feeding the little kids :)

This totally rivals the nutty duck in the hotel story.

That is awesome your goats have been given the gift of hunger. Just wondering, if you painted over the puke color would they eat it again. Is their poop puke yellow too? they are cute, bye the way.
